[edit] Steam Group IDs
If you were not aware, the servers tied to steam groups show up on the front page of Left4Dead and Left4Dead2. This is actually an incredibly easy method of throwing servers up for your community members to join. Here is a quick howto.
[edit] Finding your Steam Group ID
When you log into your steam community panel, you will see your Groups tab. Find your group (you need to be an administrator) and access the admin page by clicking Visit admin page. You will see the first field which is ID copy that number and place it somewhere you can access later. This is your Steam Community ID.
[edit] The CVAR
Open your server.cfg file and modify the following line:
sv_steamgroup "978668" //This is the cyberwurx gameservers steam group feel free to change it to your own.
Modify this to reflect your copied Steam Community ID that you noted above.
[edit] Example
sv_steamgroup "169044"
[edit] Restart
Restart your server to apply changes.
